“Come si sta nel canto del fuoco!”

Il racconto della Toscana contadina attraverso gli occhi di un bambino

Bruno Naldini aveva dodici anni e frequentava la quinta elementare nella scuola di San Gersolè, vicino a Impruneta, quando la maestra gli assegnò il compito di tenere un diario.

Era l’autunno del 1934 e, per due anni, Bruno tenne fede al suo impegno annotando, giorno per giorno, quello che accadeva intorno a lui. Lo fece fin quasi alla fine della sua breve vita: cagionevole di salute, morì di morbillo il 12 maggio 1937.

A ottant’anni di distanza, le storie e i racconti di Bruno Naldini rivivono nel libro “Come si sta bene nel canto del fuoco!”, edito da Mediapoint Editore e in arrivo in questi giorni in edicole e librerie.

Tenendo fede allo spirito dell’originale, riscoperto quasi per caso da un erede di Bruno, il libro raccoglie alcune delle pagine più belle del lavoro di questo piccolo alunno dotato di una penna fuori dal comune, capace di delineare con pochi tratti un affresco divertente ed affascinante della Toscana contadina. E’ un’occasione unica per andare a riscoprire non solo un pezzo delle nostra storia e delle nostre radici, ma anche la bellezza estrema di parole e modi di dire andati purtroppo perduti, ma carichi di una toscanità senza pari.
